Lazy Lily x Bakkin Translations x Yuru Yuri San Hai!

Ayano - Arm Wrestle…I honestly don’t know what to name this picture.

The group Lazy Lily was listed as one of the groups who will fansub Yuru Yuri San Hai! in FansubDB and people are wondering if we’re really gonna do it. Short answer? No. Long answer?

I, SHiN, stressed this many times that Lazy Lily is very understaffed and due to that, we don’t have the manpower and resources needed to fansub a show on a weekly and timely basis. We’re picking our shows carefully and that is why we shifted our focus to OVAs, specials and movies since they don’t require a weekly schedule and they’re not very long. Lazy Lily has fansubbed a staggering 1 OVA, 1 movie and 2 specials over the course of 10 months.

We did try to hire more people, but if you ask me, getting help is near impossible. Lazy Lily is essentially a nobody or a “literal who” group who has little influence or exposure compared to our peers. Without connections and the essential nepotism, we can’t do this.

The only best option for the group is fansub the anime as soon as the BDs come out. They require no deadline and fansubbing 2 episodes per couple of months(?) isn’t really demanding. However, AkazaAkane from Bakkin Translations is showing signs he’s not interested because of a huge laundry list of offline responsibilities. He hasn’t given us the final decision yet, since he has to watch a few more episodes and see if the anime is worth his time. If he’s on board, good, we’ll fansub the BDs. If not, sorry.

Quite frankly there is no need to panic. CrunchyRoll/HorribleSubs are there to give you the fastest subs and if you prefer fansubs, I’m pretty sure there are other groups willing to provide what you need.

For now, we’ll stick with the OVAs, specials, movies, Sakura Trick and Aikatsu! doujinshi.

So yeah, off you go, folks! Subs for Yuru Yuri will be there! Don’t worry!

…it sucks for me though. We followed and fansubbed Yuru Yuri S1-S2 as SHiN-gx Fansubs, we translated half of the drama CDs, and we single-handedly provided translations for the OVA and Specials. But, meh, time’s a-changin’. I love typing using this mechanical keyboard HOLY SHi—
