I love you very much, Aoi.

krkrWhere do I begin? I started watching Aikatsu! around November 2012. The other shows didn’t appeal to me so after a few suggestions, I went and checked out Aikatsu! (and at the same time get into this idol craze like the PreCure series). At first the show was alright, it’s geared towards the young audience and I wasn’t really all that interested… Until this blue goddess went on screen. When I first saw Aoi, I was like “Whoa, a blue character. I like blue! Her voice is cute, she’s not the oujo-sama type I was expecting, she’s smart and witty, and her overall character design rings the right bells. I think I’ll follow this show for a while.” Since then I’ve been following this show soley for Aoi.

At the time I didn’t care much for the songs, the CGI, and the stories. Don’t get me wrong, Aikatsu! is a great show with great characters and great music. It grew on me. It’s just 90% of my motivation to watch Aikatsu! is mainly to see Aoi. She develops into a fine young lady over the episodes. She’s hardworking, determined and fragile at the same time. She is no perfect idol, she falls under pressure and she falls flat sometimes, but she still gets up, never giving up at doing what she loves best — being an idol everybody admires and be Ichigo’s support and best friend.

It’s certainly not about her looks on the outside. I fell in love with Aoi because she is beautiful on the inside — a girl with big dreams, a big heart, and a big soul.
