All right, so this is sort of an update of my previous guide, but this time I’m gonna hammer it down your skulls and get your anime fix the right way. This guide will teach you, the normie anime fan, where to find your anime content, what tools to use and learn how to combat bottom feeders who cares more about money than be a part of an anime community free from said bottom feeders.
Before you go any further, go look up my guide for more info. Once you’re done with that, then follow these easy steps:
ALL ANIME ARE FREE AND IN THE HIGHEST QUALITY POSSIBLE
Be it an anime episode, art book scans, doujins, manga, or even music, you can find all of them via bittorrent. What is bittorrent? It’s a file sharing protocol that lets you download content from other people who owns the content you want. Unlike direct download services where there’s a chance that they will go offline, or limits the number of times you download per day, bittorrent will never go away and you can download stuff as many as you want. For as long as someone is “seeding” a file, the content will forever be available. This is the beauty of bittorrent and your only limit is your internet speed.
STEP 1: GET YOURSELF A RELIABLE BITTORRENT CLIENT
There are a ton of bittorrent clients, but majority of them are cancerous because they’re infected with ads and bloatware that they’ll slow down your computer. However, SHiN-onee-sama, highly recommend you try out these two clients:
Flud has some ads, but they’re nowhere near as horrible as utorrent. Flud will not ruin your day.
STEP 2: ONLY GET YOUR ANIME FROM FANSUB GROUPS AND TORRENT INDEX SITES
KissAnime, GoGoAnime, Mangafox, Hikari no Akari OSThieves are bottom feeding scum and they’re not providers of anime like they claim they are. Like every bottom feeder, they leech their anime content from one big source: Nyaa.si. Nyaa is the only place where you can get untranslated anime, translated anime from other languages, DVD/BD quality anime, music rips, manga, doujins and hentai. Nyaa isn’t the only torrent site, in fact, there’s a ton of them. Instead of keeping tabs on every torrent site, just go to Tokyo Toshokan. Like the name suggests, this is an index site that features anime from other torrent sites, fansub groups, etc.
Each torrent has a comments tab or a link to the fansub group who provided the content, so if you want to be up to date or want to follow your favorite groups then you’re free to do so.
STEP 3: DOWNLOAD AND PLAY
Go look for the content you want from Nyaa.si or Tokyo Toshokan and you have two options: download via torrent or via magnet link. Both are essentially the same, but in Tokyo Toshokan, you are more likely to use the magnet links (the magnet icons) because some of the torrents are old and probably dead from a defunct torrent site. Magnet links are resilient. Click download, the bittorrent client will then prompt you to confirm download, wait a few minutes, BAM, high quality anime directly from the people who translated them. If the torrent is dead, then go look for other versions.
STEP 4: AVOID GOING ANYWHERE ELSE
If you’re the type who wants to collect the anime you like, then don’t go to the above mentioned bottom-feeding websites. Streaming sites may have their uses, they’re practically useless if you want to save a high quality version of the anime you like.
Here’s an example of video quality from streaming sites and compare that to directly download from the original providers. It’s night and day. You don’t want to be called a normie and get fooled by these websites by subscribing, paying a fee, and let their ads infect your browser, do you?
The average anime fan get their anime this way. These anime fans enjoy the anime the way they’re meant to be made and the community is quite large. So large that it’s right in front of you, teasing you to hop in, but you blindly chose to go the other road. You can go support official streaming sites like CrunchyRoll all you want, but if you want to have the best quality possible, then you need to follow these steps, and only these steps. Don’t be fooled, don’t deprive yourself from the beauty that is anime. Don’t be a normie.
